short hair on big girls?
jammiedodger6873 asked us: i’ve been big all my life and i’ve had this burning desire to get my hair cut, but all my friends, family and hairstylist say that short hair would make my face look fatter. do you have any advice on how to rock short hair for bigger girls? any pictures?
HEY GURL! Sorry it took us awhile to respond but we’re not even going to post any hairstyles to recommend for you.
You know why?
BECAUSE YOU CAN ROCK ANY SHORT HAIRSTYLE YOU LIKE!!! Of course it all depends if you yourself are feeling it, but don’t let anyone or even yourself stop you from doing whatever the hell you want with your own hair.
Tell your friends, fam, whack hairstylist to go and suck a cow because I (moderator 1) being a full figured woman, was told the same things when I wanted to go from butt-length hair to short. And you know what? I did it anyway! Even after the big cut, people were like “Wow I thought only skinny girls rocked short hair” and I just let them sit in silence thinking about how stupid their comment was and let them have a few eye cuts.
We contemplated having a tag like we do for curly, shaved, and etc named “PLUS SIZE SHORT HAIR” and we thought why should we group the plus sized short haired women on our blog separately? Of course we want to feature them as much as any size but we didn’t think there was a need to differentiate them from the other photos. They displayed the hair just as good.
We are ethnic, we are all built differently, and don’t let anyone tell you you’re not beautiful and you can’t take beauty risks.
